Life's Trip

 Christmas gifts

...wanted to send or order early for precious four grown children.
Amazingly - finished the project this very afternoon!
Was it easy - not necessarily, but it was finally completed with great satisfaction.
In my view, it is much less problematic to phone a company and order than do it online where security problems lurk!
I ordered Christmas treats - the same for each and everyone.
They're tasty, Christmasy, and what's more - healthy!!
The Figi's gal taking order - fantastic!

BND = bad news depression.

***Glaze***
2/3 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon warm water
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees
Mix butter or margarine or oil and sugar until crumbly
Combine with flour mix
Stir in milk until dough forms (about 15 strokes)
Drop by rounded tablespoons onto lightly greased cookie sheet
Make shallow well in center of each; fill with fruit or preserves.
Bake until golden brown, about 15 minutes
While warm drizzle with glaze.
GLAZE: MIX the powdered sugar, warm water and vanilla 'til smooth.
(Note: I baked some this morning using slices of Granny Smith apples moistened with lemon juice plus sprinkle of brown sugar.)

Pew Research: Nearly half of all Americans would prefer to live in a small town or rural area.

While lack of jobs is one deterrent, many are finding ways to work remotely, so are more likely to seek their ideal community.
Three out of four Americans say they want to live where the pace of life is slow rather than fast.
By nearly the same percentage, Americans prefer to live in a community where people know one another well - a small town where crime is not a problem, and as good places to raise children.
However young people still prefer to live in cities - but not all of them. A little more than one in four under the age of 30 would rather live in a small town or rural area.
