While watching an air show today, small planes competed to land - precisely on their pontoons- between two markers. To do this would take consideration for wind direction & speed plus timely reduction of air speed to set down exactly between markers. A young friend watching with me provided running commentary on the event as each plane came in for the precarious task of negotiating a touch down, exactly between the two markers - not a second before or after. An umpire's boat bobbed nearby. When several planes missed - by a hair - she announced that she could have done it - easily, although she is not a pilot. My only thought: Sometimes things are more easily said than done.
