Life's Trip

DON'T BE SURPRISED IF YOU'RE FEELING LESS EMOTIONAL TODAY.

According to Stariq's general horoscope for Sunday, Nov. 26, we're more inclined toward mixed feelings.
While we may feel worldly, we also could be inclined toward self-realization.
Stariq's astrologers say it's because of the intelligent Aquarius influence.

 SATURDAY NIGHT FOG

It's here...so thick you could cut it with a knife!
Strange weather for this time of year.
It descended about dusk. Now, not a creature is stirring.
It's as though heaven put a lid on this village.
The midtown flag hangs limp. I can see it via the local TV camera which constantly scans town from its perch atop the tallest building.
Frankly, I'll be glad if snow appears next week - as forecast.

IS YOUR LIFE WELL-SEASONED, OR IS IT DULL ?

Everyone has moments when they're bored or troubled - some, more than others, especially during holiday times.
So, what's to do about it?
I once heard someone say, "Do something, even if it's wrong".
NOT good advice.
But the 'Do something.' part, is right on! Anyone can find something of interest, constructive, informative, helpful, energetic, creative, or even some cleaning, to do.
One thing for sure - boredom or dwelling on problems, however large or small - past or present, do not qualify here for a list of 'something to do'.
Saying 'Cheer up'to the bored or troubled certainly does not cut it, either.
Those who are bored or troubled can more successfully feel better by initiating action on their own.

IT'S AMAZING HOW MANY THINGS YOU CAN GET DONE IN ONE HOUR IN A SMALL TOWN !!!

and put only two miles on your car. I kid you not! All of the following took just ONE hour this afternoon.
1. Picked up mail from P.O. box. There's no home delivery here.
2. Took a quick but relaxing walk on the beach.
3. Went to grocery store for yogurt.
4. Then to gas station/liquor store for bottle of wine.
Amazing ! Once upon a time when living in the city, all this would have filled an afternoon - or more.

HOW TO OVERCOME FEAR OF FILLO DOUGH

If you like the crispy thin crunch of fillo (or phyllo) dough, yet hear it's use is tough to master, take heart. I finally got up the courage to make something with it; and it's not as hard as you'd think.
I made Greek Spanakapita with spinach.
It turned out very well indeed.
Next I'll try Baklava - a sweet dessert.
Cooks.com has many recipes for both as well as tips on handling fillo dough.
